Doheny Estates Info

Doheny Estates is located within the 90069 zip code and is bordered by the Beverly Hills developments of Trousdale Estates and La Collina Estates to the west, the rest of the Bird Streets neighborhood to the south and east, Sunset Plaza to the north and east, and Laurel Canyon to the north.

Doheny Estates is a community that makes up a portion of the Bird Streets neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills, but the names "Doheny Estates" and "Bird Streets" should not be used interchangeably, as they often are, since they are not synonymous. Doheny Estates does include a few of the bird streets (Robin Drive, Nightingale Drive, and Swallow Drive), but most of the Bird Streets are found outside of Doheny Estates. Doheny Estates is made up of only five streets: N Doheny Drive (above the intersection with Kinglet Drive), Robin Drive, Nightingale Drive, Swallow Drive, and Marcheeta Place.

Homes in Doheny Estates are built on terraced lots up to an acre and a half, although all but a few parcels are between a third of an acre to two thirds of an acre. The terraced parcels were designed to enhance views and deed restrictions protect those views, thus limiting most structures in the neighborhood to a single story. Although the area is known for modern architectural gems, the area also features traditional homes.

The neighborhood's Doheny Dining Club, an event taking place twice a year, has only one confirmed and publicly named member, celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, but the events are said to be well attended.
