Moraga Drive Information
Moraga Drive is the name of a street in Los Angeles as well as the name of the neighborhood that follows its meandering path. The 42-home subdivision sits near the western edge of Bel Air near Lower Casiano and the Sepulveda Pass.
Moraga Drive is the seventh expansion of the original Bel Air Estates. Platted in 1939, the majority of construction is comprised of post-war architecture (up to 1961). The neighborhood is identified by Historic Places LA as the Moraga Drive Residential Historic District due to its significant concentration custom Ranch houses influenced by Cape Cod and American Colonial Revival architectural styles.
Homes here are setback from the street, leaving room for front yards or gardens. Well-manicured landscaping, historic street lamps, and mature sycamore trees contribute to Moraga Drive’s bucolic vibe.
To the surprise of many who are new to Los Angeles, Bel Air has its own winery, Moraga Vineyards.
